My name is Jillian and I have been passionate about furnishing fabric for the last twenty years. It is a love affair that started when, as a student, I worked in the furnishing fabric department in Harrods, London. Later, following an extended period of time living abroad, I returned to the UK to complete my ‘Diploma in Interior Design’ with the Interior Design Institute and my ‘Diploma in Professional Curtain Making and Soft Furnishing Skills’ with the National Design Academy.
Since then, I have combined raising my beautiful little boy with carrying out a range of delightful soft furnishing projects and officially launched my own business in 2020 with my Etsy shop ‘The Cosy Cushion by JSD’ where I sell a wide range of soft furnishings products. My shop incorporates my three main ranges: ‘Simply Cushions’, ‘Simply Baby’, and ‘Simply Christmas’.
In addition to the above, I am primarily available for bespoke curtain-making and soft-furnishing projects, including for small spaces such as caravans and garden offices, as well as homes of all styles. When I’m not in my lovely Cotswolds home creating beautiful soft furnishing items, you are likely to find me either running around the park with my son or up at my allotment enjoying the view and growing tasty vegetables.
